Since your car is All-Electric, we have NO engine oil to check.
We are checking: Washer Fluid, Coolant, and Brakes.

1The Fluid Shopping List
📣 Lisa says: "I'm checking if we have the right stuff. BMW is picky! If we need to buy any, this is EXACTLY what we need:"
⚠️ Note: Generic "Green" coolant or "DOT 3" brake fluid can damage the car.
(Tap to check off)
Coolant: Must be BMW G48 (Blue).
(Brands: Zerex G48, Pentosin NF, BMW Blue)
Brake Fluid: Must be DOT 4 Low Viscosity (DOT 4 LV).
(Brands: Pentosin DOT4 LV, ATE SL.6)
2The Washer Fluid Decision
📣 Lisa says: "Wait! We don't have washer fluid yet. Here is the plan:"
⚠️ WARNING: Never use "Rain-X" or Silicone fluids in a BMW. It clogs the sensor!
Option A (Today): Just use Tap Water to test the pump. It's safe for a few days.
Option B (MacGyver): 1 Gallon Water + 1 tbsp Dish Soap + 1/2 Cup Rubbing Alcohol.
Option C (Store): Buy the cheap Blue Stuff ($3 at gas station). No fancy "Rain Repellent" additives!
3Gather Supplies
📣 Lisa says: "Okay, grab the lights and tools. Let's go."
(Tap items to check off)
Headlamp / Flashlight (Mandatory!)
Clean Paper Towels
Water (A pitcher or bottle for testing)
Torx T20/T25 (To open the panels)
4Open the Frunk
📣 Lisa says: "Open the hood. Pop off the two side maintenance covers near the windshield (or remove the whole frunk box if you want more room)."
Action: Remove left and right plastic maintenance covers.
5Washer Fluid (Test)
📣 Lisa says: "White tank on the passenger side. Pour in the water (or fluid) until full. Do NOT run the pump dry!"
Action: Fill washer tank. Close cap.
6Brake Fluid (Driver Side)
⚠️ WARNING: Do not open the cap unless adding fluid.
📣 Lisa says: "Shine your light on the Driver's Side firewall. Find the small yellow/clear tank with a black cap. Is the liquid line between 'MIN' and 'MAX'?"
Action: Check level visually. Ensure it is above MIN.
7The Coolant Tanks
📣 Lisa says: "Look for the black coolant balls. There are TWO (one for battery, one for motor). Shine your light through the plastic to see the level."
Action: Shake car gently to see fluid line. It should be at the middle "seam" of the tank.
Mission Accomplished! 🎉
All electric systems checked.
We used the right fluids and avoided the "Rain-X" disaster.
